Philly FCA Summer Programs Impact
See how God has moved in a GREATER way this summer!
Summer Associates
This summer five college-age associates joined us in serving the student athletes in the city. These associates were poured into by staff to help them grow in their spiritual journeys and they then helped pour into the high school athletes we ministered to throughout the summer.
Mid-Atlantic College Camp
Over Memorial Day weekend over 140 college athletes, including 22 from Philadelphia, gathered in North East Maryland to spend time fellowshipping, competing, and being invested into spiritually by staff. Drexel had the most athletes from any college in attendance and it served as a testament to how God is moving in the colleges here.
Kutztown Camp
The Mid-Atlantic Region hosted a multi-sport camp at Kutztown University and had close to 600 high school and middle school athletes in attendance. Over 100 of them came from Philadelphia and this was a great opportunity to minister to them through sport in a different environment. Lives were changed at camp as decisions were made to follow Jesus and live the way He calls us to live.
Summer Huddles
After the school year ended we began meeting with athletes at a local park to play some games, eat some pizza, and dive into God's word together. Through this we were able to build relationships with various athletes before and after camp. This created opportunities to help disciple those who made decisions to follow Jesus and to continue sharing with those who have not yet made that decision.
