Competitors Camp 2025 was AMAZING!

From My Glory to God's Glory...

85 athletes from Philly attended Competitors Camp this year!  (1150 campers in total across the MidAtlantic Region)

Of those 85 from Philly there were....

  • 15 first time commitments to Christ
  • 21 re-commitments to Christ
  • 5 felt a call to ministry from starting a huddle at their school to full time ministry


We are so thankful for the two generous donors who gave almost $60K to the Lavan Wilson Camp Scholarship Fund this year that allowed all Philly athletes to receive scholarship dollars to subsidize the cost of camp registration ($569). 


I am grateful as this Scholarship Fund keeps Lavan Wilson's legacy vibrant. Lavan was an integral part of Philly FCA since 2019, but on September 29, 2023 at the young age of 24, we lost Lavan to a senseless act of road rage and gun violence.  Lavan was about relationships and you could see Christ in him over and over in how he interacted with everyone he came in contact with. He was joyful. He was an encourager. He had deep empathy for others and he cared deeply about unity. Lavan loved people fiercely and he impacted so many lives in his short time with us, especially at our summer camps.  His memory stays vibrant in each Philly athlete that was able to attend camp and encounter Christ.

Lastly, we care deeply about discipleship and we have an opportunity over the next three weeks for Philly athletes to continue to grow in their walk with the Lord. See the information below about our Summer Huddles!  Our staff tries to provide transportation for anyone needing a ride! 

Beyond the Summer 

We continue to invest in Philly athletes throughout the school year through our campus huddles.  


We currently have huddles in the city at the following campuses:

  • Drexel University
  • UPenn 
  • Central HS
  • Esperanza HS
  • International Christian HS
  • NorthEast HS Football
